When we were all using MSN Messenger and we saw out friends were online, that was a definitive push to start conversations. Some of us had longer lists than others, and so we might hang out with more people on the same day; but depending on tha kind of attitude you had, things might stay online, for a very good reason. Then came Skype, a landmark of communications.
